ELLISVILLE - The Jones County Junior College Lady Bobcats' tennis team finished No. 23 in the NJCAA Tournament in Tucson, Ariz., in May.
But, they topped their performance on the court with a stellar effort in the classroom.
The JCJC women's tennis team compiled a 3.31 team GPA, which ranks No. 13 in the country and earned them a spot as one of the NJCAA's Spring Academic Teams-of-the-Year.

Dr. Shannon Campbell has been named the new Academic Dean for Jones County Junior College.
Campbell takes the place of Dr. Fiona Qualls, who recently accepted a position at the State Board for Community and Junior Colleges.

ELLISVILLE – Several future Jones County Junior College Bobcats will be participating in Mississippi Association of Coaches (MAC) All-Star contests this week.
Bobcat tennis signee Blake Harris of Amory will compete in the All-Star North/South Tennis Match at 1 p.m. Friday at the Bridges Tennis Center in Jackson.
