Make Things Happen Campaign
Jones County Junior College along with Pearl River and Gulf Coast Community Colleges are offering enhanced services beginning this summer and fall in metalworking. This new venture is part of the 'Make Things Happen' campaign being funded through WIRED Momentum, a Department of Labor initiative.
The venture offers many new features at each of the participating colleges including training from nationally certified instructors on state of the art equipment. Additionally, the initiative aims to raise the level of awareness and perceived value of this needed skill set in the regional economy. Detailed information can be found on this initiative at www.makethingshappenms.com or at www.jcjc.edu/makethingshappen.edu.

Volunteerism Survey
The Volunteerism Survey is intended to gauge the current campus climate in regards to volunteering in our local schools. It is anonymous and will only be used as we attempt to plan our next steps towards our volunteerism initiative. Originally distributed during our faculty workday on April 22, it should only be completed by faculty members who did not complete the paper survey and return it at that time. Completed surveys can be placed in campus mail to Julie Atwood.
