JCJC's RONALD E. WHITEHEAD TECHNOLOGY CENTER (ATC), a 53,000 - square foot facility, offers a modern solution to workforce and economic development. The facility promises a unique educational and training experience with its contemporary approach to technical training using real-world applications and the latest technologies.

Goals Of The ATC

Applied Manufacturing
Provide an integrated and more effective core of education and training for the manufacturing and applied technology work force. This includes education and training in Welding, Pipefitting, Computer Aided Machine Shop (CAM), Electronics, Robotics, Instrumentation, Computer Aided Drafting (CAD), and the integration of all these technologies.

Information Technology
JCJC offers online, advanced manufacturing training on a broad array of topics including: power and energy, controls, manufacturing processes, design, fluids, fluid power, thermal, electrical, electrical motors, mechanical, communications, robotics, computer-integrated manufacturing, mechatronics, and automation using Amatrol's eLearning System. In addition to the online training JCJC uses hands-on skills verification using Amatrol's virtual trainers.

Agriculture Science and Forestry
Provide education and training in the utilization of computer technology for process definition, design, and management in the wood products and agricultural industries. This includes workforce education and training in the areas of GPS/GIS systems, statistical process control, forest management, introduction of new technology into the regional wood-products workforce, online industrial training, and maintenance and utilization of advanced equipment in order to obtain maximum performance.
