Fall 2007 Final Grades


Introduction to Business provides a basic foundation for the student who will specialize in some aspect of business in college, and it also provides the opportunity for non-business majors to learn about the business world in which they will someday be (if not already) both producers and consumers.


Course Objectives

  1. Discuss the development of a business plan.
  2. Describe the major forms of business ownership
  3. Describe the responsibilities of businesses to their various stockholders
  4. Explain the fundamentals of effective management
  5. Explain how buiesses market their products and services
  6. Discuss the financial management of a business from the perspective of accounting, financing, and investing
  7. Make a well-informed decision about a college major and a possible business career
  8. Use the Internet, e-mail, and word processing to explore the use of the computer as a business tool
