Blackboard Cookie Issue
There have been reports of people repeatedly getting the Browser Cookies Disabled message each time they come back to Blackboard even after they have “allowed cookies”. If the message continues to pop up for a user here is a fix for it.
- Clear the browser cache
If using Internet Explorer:
- On the Menu bar click Tools, select Internet Options.
- In the default General tab under Temporary Internet files, click the Delete Files button.
- Click the OK button.
If using Mozilla Firefox:
- On the Menu bar click Tools, select Options.
- Click the Privacy icon* Click the Cache tab.
- Click the Clear Cache Now button.
- Click OK.
- Update the Blackboard bookmark
If using Internet Explorer:
- On the Menu bar click Favorites, right-click the Blackboard bookmark.
- Click the Properties tab.
- In the URL field type http://jcjc.blackboard.com
- Click the OK button
If using Mozilla Firefox:
- On the Menu bar click Bookmarks, right-click the Blackboard bookmark and click Properties.
- Highlight the contents of the Location field and type http://jcjc.blackboard.com
- Click the OK button.
