EMPLOYEE DEPENDENT SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES

Financial assistance will be provided to employee dependents who meet the following criteria developed by the Special Projects Committee.
- Parent of the applicant must be a JCJC full-time employee for six consecutive months before the scholarship application deadline of March 10, 2006.
- The student must enroll in classes Fall Semester to be eligible to receive the employee dependent scholarship.
- Scholarship recipient will be limited to four semesters including summer school.
- Awards will be based on fund availability. Awarded amounts and criteria may vary from year to year. Recipients will receive equal awards.
- Recipients must maintain a 2.0 Grade Point Average per semester.
- To maintain eligibility recipients must successfully complete a minimum of twelve hours per semester.
- The applicant must be an employee dependent, less than twenty-three years of age and unmarried on the application date.
- The applicant must reapply annually by March 10 for the upcoming Fall Semester.
- Any exceptions must be approved by the JCJC Scholarship Committee.
- Provided funds are available, the dependent children of retired JCJC employees will be eligible to receive employee dependent tuition assistance through the JCJC Employee Special Projects Committee. The parent must have retired from JCJC with a minimum of 15 years of service and must have entered the Public Employees Retirement System.
Applicants for this scholarship are encouraged to apply for all available financial assistance.
Applications must be completed and returned to the
JCJC Foundation Office by March 10.
