Work Study

Thank you for your interest in the Federal Work Study (FWS) at Jones County Junior College. Students must have a current Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file to be considered for the Federal Work Study program. Applicants should prepare for a short interview at the time the application is submitted, and an interview with the work supervisor may be required. Once eligibility is determined, funding and a position are available, the work study counselor may contact you.

The FWS program is a federally funded program, and students must meet those requirement to participate in the program.

Students participating in the FWS program will earn minimum wage ($7.25 per hour). Students are paid once a month, usually on the 10th of the month, unless it falls on a holiday or weekend. Checks are usually available for pick-up in the Business Office after 10:00 on the 10th.

The Work Study Office is now accepting applications for the 2018-19 school year. Applicants should be prepared for a short interview with the Work Study Counselor at the time the application is submitted. Applications will be accepted until all positions are filled.
