CHARLES PICKERING HONORS INSTITUTE

Reasons For Inactivation
The Institute monitors active students at the end of each term to determine compliance with the program criteria. The following examples lead to an inactive status:
- A GPA lower than 3.0. If a student’s GPA drops below 3.0, the student will have one semester to raise the GPA and remain in the Honors Institute.
- Students who have not taken an honors course for two consecutive semesters will be dismissed from the Institute.
- More than five withdrawals on the student’s record within the past five years.
Students who have already completed 18 or more hours of hours of Honors coursework will never be inactivated.
