Scholarships
Presidential Scholarship
Students who graduate as the valedictorian or salutatorian of their high school graduating class will be offered the Jones Presidential Scholarship and automatic acceptance to the Charles Pickering Honors Institute. This scholarship will cover all tuition, room, board, and books while at Jones County Junior College. All Presidential Scholarship recipients must take Honors Leadership Seminar and one additional Honors offering during each of their first two semesters at Jones.
Honors Institute Scholarships
Honors Institute Scholarships are awarded to graduating high school seniors and current Jones students who are eligible for the Charles Pickering Honors Institute. Scholarships are awarded based on the student’s academic record. This scholarship covers tuition and books.
In addition, Honors students will be offered the opportunity to travel (domestic or international) at a greatly reduced cost.
