ELLISVILLE – Co-Lin Community College defeated Jones County Junior College 6-3 in men’s tennis here Thursday afternoon.
A women’s match was not played.
The Bobcats are now 10-4 on the season. JCJC will host Hinds at 2 p.m. on Monday and East Central at 2 p.m. on Tuesday to close the regular season. They will compete in the MACJC Tournament April 16-18 at the Tatum Park Tennis Courts in Hattiesburg.

Cody Kadoun and Eric Lynn of Jones teamed to win No. 3 doubles over Justin Hewitt and Blake Smith, 9-7. Nico Osorio and Reed Rogers defeated JCJC’s Casey Dykes and Tyler Shows, 8-3, in No. 1 doubles. Guillermo Chaves and Reilly Miller downed JCJC’s Mitchell Smith and Nathan Kanengiser, 8-1, in No. 2 doubles.
Jones picked up two wins in singles. Lynn outlasted Hewitt, 6-4, 6-7 (5), 11-9 in No. 5 singles, while Smith blanked John Harper, 6-0, 6-0 in No. 3 singles.
Co-Lin won the other four singles’ points. Osorio defeated Dykes in No. 1 singles, 7-6 (1), 6-1. Chaves downed Shows, 6-4, 0-6, 10-4 in No. 2 singles. Miller beat Kadoun, 6-1, 6-0 in No. 4 singles and Smith beat Kanengiser, 4-6, 6-1, 10-5 in No. 6 singles.
