SUMMIT – Jones County Junior College posted a 3-2 victory over Southwest Mississippi Community College here Monday afternoon in a makeup contest.

Johnny Jones scored for JCJC off an assist by Chip Vonder Bruegge. Josh Corley scored off an assist by Patrick Coates and Chris Moncivais scored off an assist by Vonder Bruegge.

JCJC improves to 5-2 overall, 3-1 in the South Division. Southwest falls to 4-4-1 and 2-3.

The Lady Bobcats travel to East Central for a 4 p.m. game on Wednesday, while the Bobcat men visit East Central at 4 p.m. on Thursday.

Both Bobcat soccer teams will host East Mississippi on Saturday. The men’s game begins at 1 p.m., followed by the women’s game at 3 p.m.
