PERKINSTON – The Jones County Junior College Lady Bobcats won their fifth straight game here Tuesday night in a crucial South Division game vs. Mississippi Gulf Coast.

The Lady Bobcats posted a 2-1 victory. Jones improves to 8-2 overall and 4-2 in the division.

Lauren Williams scored on an assist by Janna Sullivan and Bridget Dennis got the game-winner on an unassisted goal.

Gulf Coast falls to 8-2-1 overall, 3-2 in the division.

In the men’s game, the Bulldogs notched a 3-0 decision over Jones.

JCJC falls to 7-3 overall, 4-2 in division play. Gulf Coast is now 9-0-2 overall, 5-0 in the division.

The Bobcat teams visit Pearl River on Saturday. The women’s game begins at 2:30 p.m., followed by the men’s game at 4:30 p.m.
