ELLISVILLE – A couple of thousand princesses, Dorothy’s, goblins and ghouls filled the Jones County Junior College campus at the annual Treats in the Streets. Part of the festivities included costume contests for babies to teens, honoring the most creative kids with treats from JCJC.
College students who dressed the best were also given cash prizes for their efforts. Winning the Most Original category was sophomore Falon Nettles of Leakesville for her “Flo the Progressive insurance lady” costume. The Most Creative was sophomore Zach Creel of Lucedale who dressed up as a “Hippi Guy” who was mistaken for Andy Garcia. The Scariest costume winner was the Skelton Pimp James Maxcey of Sandersville. The Best Overall costume winner was Levi Burnham of Laurel who disguised himself as Edward Scissorshand.
