Applying for admission to Jones is easy! Use these steps as a guide to becoming a student at Jones.

Step Number 1

APPLICATION

Submit a Completed Admissions Application to Jones
Future students can (1) Apply Online (2) Download an admissions application or (3) submit the completed application from the Admissions packet available on campus.

MEET YOUR ADMISSIONS COUNSELOR

The transition to college can be difficult! Be sure to connect with your Admissions Counselor. Once you have applied to Jones, your Admissions Counselor will guide you through admissions, enrollment, financial aid and scholarships. Meet your Admissions Counselor today.

Step Number 3

FINANCIAL AID

File your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), which is also known as Pell Grant online at fafsa.ed.gov as soon as possible after October 1. The priority deadline for FAFSA is April 1 for the upcoming school year. FAFSA forms and worksheets are available at JONES or by contacting your high school counselor. Include JONES' code – 002411.

Step Number 4

TESTING

Take the ACT/SAT and request scores be sent to Jones. The JCJC code is 2206. A Residual ACT is offered several times a month throughout the year. Contact the JCJC Student Success Center at 601-477-4257 for testing dates or additional information.

TRANSCRIPTS

Request an official copy of the final high school transcript after graduation to be mailed to JONES. Students are not fully admitted to JONES until all official transcripts have been received.

CLASS ENROLLMENT

Be on the lookout for a text or email from your Admissions Counselor which will guide you to an enrollment preference form. Please complete this form so that we can make sure that we do our best to meet your scheduling needs. Once you have completed your form, your Admissions Counselor will create a schedule for you and send it to you for review. You are always welcome to schedule a face-to-face or phone appointment to talk about your options. You can also come by to meet your Admissions Counselor and make schedule changes in Enrollment Services, located on the first floor of the library. Admissions Counselors can be reached at (601) 477-4257 and can assist you with admissions, financial aid, and your class schedule.
