SCHOLARSHIPS AND
LOANS:
A number of
scholarships and loans are available to students
attending Jones County Junior College. For further
information on this, please contact the Financial Aid
office (477-4040), Jones County Junior College.
Nursing students are subject to the same fee schedule as
are all persons enrolled in the college as well as some
fees that relate specifically to nursing. The
Board of Trustees Reserves the right to change any and
all fees.
APPLICATION
PROCEDURE:
An
application for the LPN to RN Fast Track Option of the
Associate Degree Nursing Program may be obtained by
calling (601)477-4099; completing the request for
information below, or writing to:

Admission to the Fast track Option occurs yearly with
classes beginning the summer semester.
Applications are accepted during the Spring semester of each year for the
following summer class and are due by March 1. Selections for the LPN to RN
Fast Track Option are made by the A.D. Nursing
Admissions Committee based upon objective data including
Academic GPA, LPN program GPA, ACT scores, NLN-ACE Scores, and living and
working in JCJC’s eight-county district. All applicants
will be notified by letter of their eligibility to take the NLN-ACE by April 1 and of the final status of their
application by May 15.
*The Mississippi Board of Nursing may, at its
discretion, deny an application for licensure of any
person who has been convicted of a criminal offense
under any provision of Title 97 of the Mississippi Code
of 1972, as now amended, or any provision of this
chapter.
*Pursuant to Mississippi statue 43-11-13 health care
workers must have a criminal background check. If you
have any felonies, or disqualifying events your
participation in clinical will be prohibited
