The LPN to RN Fast Track Option is designed for the LPN who is working and desires to pursue the Associate Degree in Nursing. This program is accelerated with much of the work being done outside the classroom through the Internet. Clinical times are arranged and consist primarily of 12-hour shifts with an instructor in a variety of clinical settings. Classes meet weekly or biweekly with the schedule being set in a collaborative fashion between the instructors and the students. Some outside clinical rotations are scheduled and arranged at a time more convenient for the students. There are 10 non-nursing support courses that are required for admission to the program, along with current license and IV certification recognized by the Mississippi State Board of Nursing. Students must have access to a computer with an Internet connection and have excellent time management skills. The academic courses and requirements are outlined below.
