EDUCATIONAL OUTCOMES
The graduate will:

Apply the nursing process in the safe, effective care of individuals utilizing
concepts from the biopsychosocial functioning, giving consideration to
culture, environment, and growth and development.

Establish priorities for nursing interventions based on the individual's
biopsychosocial systems and the need to maintain equilibrium on the health-illness
continuum through prevention, modification, reduction, or adaptation to
stressors.

Demonstrate effective critical thinking and problem solving skills by incorporating
knowledge from nursing, the sciences, math and humanities in the planning
and delivery of care.

Demonstrate professional responsibility as an associate degree nurse by
maintaining competencies, using personal judgment, adhering to ethical
and legal standards and working with others in a cooperative relationship.

Utilize resources and technologies in the delivery of nursing care.

Communicate effectively using written, verbal, and non-verbal sources,
in a variety of healthcare settings to assist the individual to identify
health care needs and contribute to a maximum health potential or a peaceful
death.

Implement the roles of the associate degree nurse in a variety of healthcare
settings within the community.

Serve the profession and society through participation and leadership in
professional organizations.
