B. Perform opposite operations: check by dividing, multiplying.
C. Use time drills-practice working problems fast.
D. Analyze before you compute-see the problem clearly.
E. Make a picture-draw
an elaborate, color picture or diagram if you
are stuck. Sometimes a visual representation will clear a blocked
mind.
F. Estimate first-good
way to double check. If your answer is way off,
you know it's probably wrong.
G. Check your work systematically.
Ask yourself:
*Did I read the problem correctly?
*Did I use correct formulas or equations?
*Is my arithmetic correct?
*Is my answer in proper form?
H. Review formulas the
night before the test. Then write them in the
margins of the test paper as soon as you receive it.
