COMMERCIAL TRUCK DRIVING ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
APPLICANT MUST:
- Complete an Application For Admission to the college.
- An official high school transcript or copy of GED scores is required. Students without a high school diploma or GED must pass an "Ability to Benefit" test. (Call 601-477-4079 to schedule test.)
- Have an application for admission to the Commercial Truck Driving program on file in the Career/Technical Dean's Office.
- Applicant must be 21 years of age. Proof of age (such as copy of driver's license) must be on file in the Career/Technical Dean's Office.
- Copy of official driver's record. Student must have a satisfactory driving histroy for the past three years.
After notification of acceptance, the following must be submitted prior to the beginning of class.
- Copy of DOT physical examination on file in the Career/Technical Dean's Office. The college has contracted with MEA Clinic in Laurel for this screening. For more information, call 601-477-4075.
- Copy of DOT drug screening on file in Career/Technical Dean's Office. The college has contracted with MEA Clinic in Laurel for this screening. For more information, contact the Dean's Office.
- A Commercial Driver's License Permit (CDLP) on file in the Career/Technical Dean's Office. For more information, contact the Dean's Office.
