Early Childhood Education Lab School

The Jones County Junior College Early Childhood Education Laboratory School (Lab School) is licensed by the Mississippi State Department of Health-Child Care Licensure Division.

Purpose of the Lab School
The JCJC Lab School is operated to provide training for students who are pursuing career opportunities in Early Childhood Education Technology. These college students utilize the Lab School to plan for and execute responsibilities associated with a career in the fields associated with early childhood education.

To provide a developmentally appropriate learning environment for the 3 and 4 year old preschoolers attending the Lab School.

Ages: 3 and 4 year olds by September 1st of the school year.
Hours of Operation: 7:15 AM - 4:45 PM
Days: Monday through Friday (in accordance with the JCJC Fall and Spring Semester calendar)
Holidays: According to the JCJC class schedule.
Registration Fee: $25 per child charged the semester the child enters the program
Activity Fee: $100 per semester (Fall and Spring)
Tuition: $18 a day (daily tuition is calculated by semester and payable to the Lab School director on or before the 5th day of each month.)

The Lab School accepts children who:

  • Are 3 or 4 years of age by September 1st.
  • Are completely potty trained by the first day of attendance
  • Have a current MS Department of Health Immunization Compliance Form #121
  • Want full-time enrollment
