| The meeting was called to order by Vice President Shane Sprayberry. Membership was updated. Minutes from the February 9, 2007 meeting were passed out and approved by members present. Motion, second, and passed to accept minutes as read. | ||||

| ITEMS DISCUSSED: | ||||
| 1. Clinic 2008 | ||||
| Rehearsal times for the all-state band were discussed. Sammy Barr proposed times Thursday night's rehearsal to be 8 p.m. - 10 p.m. Gary Cook will be asked how much rehearsal time he needs on Friday. Percussion equipment will be provided by Northwest Community College. Northeast Community College will be the second option if Northwest cannot fulfill the obligation. Motion and second passed. | ||||
| 2. Audition Music for All State 2008 | ||||
| MJCCBA members agreed upon an October 31 deadline for receiving the audition music. The format of the audition music is to include eight measures of a technical passage and eight measures of a legato/lyrical section. Copyright laws were discussed as to who would own the copyright. Motion and second passed. | ||||
| 3. Audition Site | ||||
| Shane Sprayberry made a motion to hold the auditions at Hinds. The motion received a second and passed. | ||||
| 4. Audition Date | ||||
| Auditions will start at 3 p.m. on January 17, 2008. John Ungurait reminded members that room reservations would need to be made as soon as auditions were complete. School purchase orders will be needed to make reservations. Elva Kaye Lance will be contacted to find out the best options for accommodations. Motion and second passed. | ||||

| Kyle Hill stated that Delta State University is interested in hosting all-state band in 2009. Rules and regulations for stands music was discussed. | ||||
