Maroon Typhoon
Sammy Barr, Director
The Jones County Junior College Maroon Typhoon is made up of approximately 250 students representing every major and course of study on campus. Marching band meets 3 days per week and students receive one hour of credit after completion of the semester. All students enrolled in the marching band receive a Fine Arts Service Scholarship.

Symphonic and Concert Bands
Sammy Barr and Matthew Pickering, Directors
The Symphonic and Concert Bands meet in the spring semester and are open to students by audition. Each band meets 2 days per week and students completing the semester receive one hour of credit. Students enrolled in either Symphonic or Concert band receive a Fine Arts Service Scholarship.

Woodwind Ensemble

Woodwind Ensembles vary depending on the nature of available instrumentation and student interest. These groups provide an opportunity for woodwind instrumentalists to perform literature written especially for that instrument.

Brass Ensemble
Carrie Strickland, Director
The Brass Choir provides an opportunity for brass players to perform literature written for that medium. Brass choir meets one day per week, and students receive one hour of credit upon completion of the course.

Percussion Ensemble
Jeff Brown, Director
The Percussion Ensemble meets in the spring semester and provides percussionists an opportunity to perform literature written especially for percussion. There are opportunities for non-percussionists as well. The percussion ensemble meets once a week, and students can receive one hour credit at the end of the semester.
