FORESTRY CLUB
The JCJC Forestry Club is made up of students in forestry and natural resource curriculum. The students enjoy fellowship and networking opportunities while participating in events such as; wild game cookouts, canoeing, competition between other forestry schools, and various other activities.
Forestry club students are also involved in many campus activities such as; special olympics, spring fever week, fall freeze, and campus beautification activities.

Gain access to the top leaders and experts in the profession by joining up to three Working Groups to help you focus on specific areas of your academic interest. Working Groups include such diverse subject areas as forest ecology, wilderness management, economy and law, urban and community forestry, silviculture, fire management, remote sensing and GIS, wildlife and fish ecology, soil conservation, climatology, and recreation.

A Voice in the Media!
SAF promotes accurate and balanced coverage of forestry issues in the media. SAF also reponds to media inquiries and works to correct misinformation about forestry issues and practices. Your membership supports this vital effort.
Representation in Your Professional Organization!
Student members have a voice in SAF through National Student Assembly (NSA), which meets once a year during the national convention. It's an opportunity for students to help determine the future direction of Society programs and activities. Throughout the year, the NSA chair represents student interests to national leadership.
