PRECISION MANUFACTURING AND MACHINING TECHNOLOGY
Jones County Junior College’s Advanced Metalworking Center of Excellence in Precision Manufacturing and Machining is a four semester instructional program designed to provide the student with the opportunity to develop the basic knowledge and skills essential for entry level employment as a general machinist.
The student will receive both classroom and lab instruction in each area of the program. Included is an introduction to precision and non-precision measuring instruments, gauges, hand tools, grinders, drill presses, engine lathes, milling machines and other equipment commonly used throughout the metal working industry.
