THE RADIOGRAPHY CURRICULUMS

We welcome your interest in the radiography profession and our program. In the Jones County Junior College Catalog you will find two curriculums offered which are realted to Radiologic Technology. The Pre-Radiologic Technology Curriculum and the Medical Radiologic Technology (Radiography) Curriculum.

The Pre-Radiologic Technology Curriculum

The Pre-Radiologic Technology curriculum is an academic curriculum designed to provide classes that will transfer to a four year college or university toward a baccalaureate degree. This curriculum will guide the student in selecting classes that will satisfy the core academic requirements and electives for graduation, while awaiting acceptance into the radiography program or should the student have a change in career plans or college major.

The Medical Radiologic Technology (Radiography) Curriculum

The Medical Radiologic Technology (Radiography) curriculum is designed to provide the classes required to fulfill the requirements of an accrediated program in radiography. Students must make application and be accepted to the program before attempting to enroll in any of the radiography (RGT) classes. Once accepted into the program, students who successfully complete this curriculum will graduate with an Associate of Applied Science Degree and qualify to make application to sit for the national registry examination administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (A.R.R.T.).

Please take time to review both these curriculums.

Both the Pre-Radiologic Technology and Medical Radiologic Technology (Radiography) curriculums may be found in the college catalog.  Should you have questions after reviewing the curriculums, please contact us at 601-477-4159.
