Upon the completion of a Radiologic Technology Program and successful completion of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists national registry examination, many Registered Radiologic Technologists choose to further their career in the field of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Salaries of the entry-level Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer vary greatly per geographical location. Salaries range between $30,000 - $40,000 per year and also depend on the number of years of experience, as well as the registries obtained by the Sonographer – such as Abdomen, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Breast, Vascular Technology, and Echocardiography.
