2008 President's Report

Inspiring the Team

Success on the field of play has long been a trademark at Jones. So has success in the classroom. Student-athletes at Jones have shown the ability to balance classwork and athletics on a consistent basis. They have achieved notoriety for their accomplishments, and they have inspired and set examples for not only their teammates but for youngsters who aspire to attend Jones in the future.

Jones graduate and former baseball player Christopher Glaze was the recipient of the 2008 Lea Plarski Award, an award that goes to one junior college student-athlete in the entire nation who exemplifies sportsmanship, leadership, community service, academic excellence and athletic ability. Glaze’s performance is a perfect example of inspiring the team.
