People taking a walk down JCJC's new Lakeside Walking Trail this year might be greeted by a pleasant sight: butterflies. They are part of JC's new Monarch Watch program. This complementary program to JC's walking trail is the product of a partnership between several departments to cultivate and study the life cycle of the monarch butterfly.

Sumrall records 500th victory
When the buzzer sounded signaling the end of Thursday’s Jones County Junior College vs. Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College basketball game, Lady Bobcat head coach Sandra Sumrall went over to shake the hands of the opposing team members and coaching staff.

AASO plans Black History Month activities

Lady Bobcats head into final half of season
JCJC's Lady Bobcat basketball team has posted a 9-6 overall record and is 2-2 in the South Division going into the final 10 games of the regular season.

Men shooting strong in second half
With just over half the regular season gone, the JCJC men's basketball team is flirting with the .500 mark with a 7-8 overall record. In the South Division, the Bobcats are faring well with a 3-1 mark.

Marshall’s numbers rank high nationally
