Most athletes only dream of winning a state championship—anywhere. Jones County Junior College’s men and women’s hardwood teams got to experience just that on their home court and in front of their crowd.

Campus police get new home
The JCJC Campus Police Office, formerly located in the Hutcheson-Hubbard Administration Building, has relocated next to the Game Room.

Smith named president elect
The state of Mississippi Faculty and Staff Association recently elected ASE certified master automotive machinist Bob Smith as vice president/president elect. Smith has been teaching at Jones for 18 years, has been a member of the association for about 15 years and was the local president of the association for five years.

Nursing test becomes more challenging
Individuals planning to apply for the Associate Degree Nursing Program at JCJC may be interested in a few changes being made to the curriculum.

The country has hit hard times. With economic stimulus packages being bandied about, many once successful stores closing left and right, and jobs being lost daily, it is no wonder that colleges are suffering as well.
