Oleg Baleyev or simply "Bal" as he is most known in the soccer community is the new head coach for men's and women's teams at Jones County Junior College.  He will also take on the responsibility as the Dean of Men's Housing.

Baleyev 32, comes to JCJC from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, where he was the assistant men's and women's soccer coach.

"I am excited to become a Head Soccer Coach for both men's and women's program at Jones County Junior College. I am looking forward to the challenge. I am confident that my academic preparation, work experience with college and youth soccer teams, twenty one years of playing on national, international, and professional levels, along with my adaptability, strong work ethic and willingness to accept new challenges can make a truly unique and valuable addition to Jones County Junior College and its soccer program"

Prior to MGCCC, Baleyev spent three years as an assistant coach with nationally ranked men's and women's soccer teams at William Carey College, where he also received a M.B.A.

Baleyev was an accomplished player while playing as a defender at William Carey College 1994-1998. His team ranked number one three out of four years in the NAIA. He was NAIA All-American in 1997-98, All-Region team in 1997-98. Selected to NAIA's Senior Bowl. Baleyev has also played for National team of Russia when he was seventeen years old and trained with professional team "Dynamo" Moscow.

Baleyev, his wife Kelley and their son Jake will reside on JCJC campus.
