Where is the Student Success Center?
The Student Success Center is located in the lobby of the Terrell Tisdale Library.

How do I find out who is my advisor?
Log onto the JC Portal and Click on the Self Service link then View My Advisors Link or you may call the Office of Student Affairs at (601) 477-4030

Where do I go to change my major?
You may request a change of major through the Office of Student Affairs at (601) 477-4030 or fill out the following Request Change Of Major form .

Where do I go to sign my scholarship contract?

In order for the academic scholarship to be posted to your account, a contract must be signed. The majority of the time contracts are sent with the Scholarship Certificates given at the students' awards ceremonies. If you need a copy of the contract they are located in the Student Success Center. You may return the contract to the Student Success Center or mail to:

Where do I go to drop or add a class to my schedule?
You may go to the Student Success Center to drop or add a class. There is a $20 drop/add fee that will be charged to your business account.

How do I drop an online class?
The Office of eLearning has a withdrawal form for student's planning to withdraw from a class.

Can I register, drop/add or withdraw over the phone?
No. It is in the best interest of the student to come into the Student Success Center to help with registration or changes to the schedule. There is also a $20 drop/add fee that must be charged to the student's business account. Students planning to withdraw from the semester have to follow a few steps and procedures in order to complete the withdrawal process.

Can I receive grades or ACT scores over the phone?
No. It is in the best interest of the student to come into the Admissions Office or Student Success Center to receive their grades or ACT scores. Students are able to check their grades on the JC Portal. Link to the How TOs site.
