The Impact Scholarship Program is a distinctive initiative designed to recognize students for their academic achievement while also honoring the educators who have played a meaningful role in shaping their lives. At its heart, the program strengthens the bond between students, teachers, and the college by celebrating the relationships that inspire growth, perseverance, and success.
Established through a generous philanthropic gift, the scholarship reflects a vision rooted in gratitude, service, and the transformative power of education. It stands as a testament to the lasting influence educators have on their students, and the meaningful outcomes made possible through donor-supported opportunities.
Recipients of the Impact Scholarship receive:
$500 for the Fall 2026 Semester
$500 for the Spring 2027 Semester
*$1,000 total annual award*
*This is a one-time, one-year, nontransferable award.
Eligibility is based on:
Demonstrated academic achievement
Verified financial need
Enrolled or Planning to Enroll Full-Time at Jones College in the Fall 2026 Semester
A defining component of the application is the Impact Teacher Essay, a required 300–500-word reflection in which students share the story of a teacher or professor who made the most significant difference in their lives.
The Impact Scholarship goes beyond financial support by formally recognizing the teacher for each scholarship recipient identifies in their essay.
Each year, scholarship recipients and honored educators are invited to a special luncheon hosted by the Jones College Foundation. This event brings together students, educators, and Jones College leadership to celebrate the powerful role teachers play in shaping lives. The luncheon serves as a public expression of gratitude and a reminder of the enduring impact of mentorship in education.
Students who meet the eligibility requirements are encouraged to apply and share the story of an educator who made a lasting difference in their lives. Applications are due by May 1, 2026.
