Faculty Recognition

The JCJC Foundation, Inc. sponsors the Faculty Recognition Program to recognize faculty members who have excelled in teaching, college service, and community service. An online form is provided below. Forms are also available in the Foundation OFfice on the 3rd floor of Jones Hall. The deadline to submit completed nomination forms and the award date are supplied by the Foundation in the early spring of each academic year.

Rules, guidelines and timelines:

  • A screening committee selects five finalists from nominations that are set by the deadline set.
  • The five nominees are notified to complete the profile sheet and nominee application packet.
  • Selection committee members conduct interviews with the five finalists, with weights applied by the selection committee of 75% for Application and 25% for Interview.
  • The five finalists are honored at the Faculty Appreciation Luncheon on campus. At that time the winner is announced.
  • The winner is awarded $1000.00 and the finalists each receive $250.00.

Employee/Staff (Non-Faculty) Recognition

Non-faculty recognition is also awarded each year by the JCJC Foundation. The online nomination form is provided below. The finalists and winner are announced at the Faculty Appreciation Luncheon on campus. Monetary amounts are awarded for winners in the various categories. Awards are presented to winners in the following areas of work:

  • Campus Police
  • Housekeeping
  • Maintenance
  • Office Staff & Administrative Support
  • Transportation & Grounds
