About Wayne County Center

Jones College Wayne County Center is located in Waynesboro, Mississippi. Our center offers academic, career and technical, workforce, and community classes to the citizens of Wayne County and the surrounding areas.

In addition to serving traditional students, the Wayne County Center provides dual credit and dual enrollment classes for students at Wayne Academy and Wayne County High School.

The mission of the Wayne County Center is to provide competency-based educational programs that emphasize student acquisition of academic knowledge, critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and occupation-specific skills. Our programs focus on meeting the needs of local industries and other community partners.

Faculty members are dedicated to preparing students with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to enter and advance in their chosen careers, becoming economically independent, productive, and contributing members of society.
