This course will include lecture, simulator training and hands-on training. Participants will learn the basic operation of excavators and dozers with a strong emphasis on safety. Upon successful completion of this course, participants will receive a certificate of completion and a National Center for Construction Education and Research transcript. cutting, basic metal preparation, weld quality, SMAW (stick welding), steel prep and basic fabrication. A workforce certificate will be issued to successful students upon completion of the course. Participants are responsible for their own personal protective equipment.
