Support the LEGACY Giving Campaign

The Jones College Foundation’s 2025 Day of Giving is a vital part of the larger LEGACY Giving Campaign, a multi-year initiative designed to secure the future of Jones College through the expansion of key academic programs and the development of innovative facilities. Your support during the Day of Giving directly contributes to these transformative efforts.

Giving Information

Securities: Donating securities, such as stocks or bonds, can be a tax-efficient way to contribute to a cause. By gifting appreciated securities, you may avoid capital gains taxes while supporting your chosen organization. When transferring stock proceeds, ensure you specify the name of the fund to which the securities should be deposited. This clarity ensures that your contribution goes directly to the intended purpose, aligning with your philanthropic goals.

Donor Advised Accounts: A Donor Advised Account allows you to make a charitable contribution, receive an immediate tax deduction, and then recommend grants from the fund over time. It provides a flexible and strategic approach to charitable giving.

IRA: Contributing to a charity directly from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) can offer tax advantages, especially for those aged 70½ or older. This Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) can fulfill your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) while supporting a cause you care about.

Planned Gifts: Consider leaving a legacy through planned gifts, such as bequests, charitable remainder trusts, or charitable gift annuities. These arrangements allow you to support a cause while providing potential financial benefits for you and your heirs.

Matching Gift: Check if your employer offers a matching gift program. This means your contribution is matched, doubling the impact of your donation. It’s a simple way to increase the value of your gift without extra cost to you.

Life Insurance: Designating a charity as the beneficiary of a life insurance policy can be a meaningful way to make a significant future gift. This method allows you to support a cause without impacting your current financial situation.

Check: Donations can be made through check in person at the Foundation office or by mailing them to the following address:

ATTN: Jones College Foundation
900 S Court St
Ellisville, MS 39437

Cash: Donations can be made in person at the Foundation office.
