2021-2022 Academic Year

Jones Logo

In preparation for the 2021-2022 academic year, the Jones College COVID-19 task force has worked to produce standard operational procedures as needed in the resurgence of COVID-19 cases in our community and our state. The COVID-19 task force is devoted to ensuring the safety and well being of our entire Jones College community, and the following operational guidelines were created with our Bobcat Family in mind.

Jones College’s daily campus operations function under normal standards in the absense of elevation of confirmed positive COVID-19 cases within our region. However, if elevated COVID-19 case activity increases within our region, the college will move to a four-level system of COVID-19 operations:

Level of Emergency Operation

Today's Level is
Yellow

Green COVID-19 Level of Emergency Operation

Green is the lowest level of emergency operation. This level encourages handwashing and proper hygiene,  as well as proper cleaning of personal work areas.

  • Masks are optional but encouraged indoors and in close contact with others
  • Increased handwashing protocols are encouraged
  • Increased cleaning of personal work areas and classroom space
  • Self-evaluation of symptoms
  • Employees/Students are required to report possible exposure and confirmed COVID-19 infections to the Jones College Campus Health Clinic

Yellow COVID-19 Level of Emergency Operation

Purple COVID-19 Level of Emergency Operation

Purple represents a heightened COVID-19 threat. This level requires social distancing, masks for all indoor facilities, altered classroom and employee working patterns, modified dining areas, and limited access to campus for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

  • Social distancing is required for all indoor and outdoor activities
  • Masks are required indoors at all Jones College facilities
  • Enhanced cleaning of all surfaces and facilities is required
  • Using the Daily Health Check App is required

  • All on-campus housing residences are closed
  • The Virtual Learning model is implemented of all courses
