College Operations

Jones College will operate at 50% employment capacity for the week of Monday, May 11, 2020 – Friday, May 15, 2020.Buildings will remain closed to the public. All employees should receive notification from their Executive Vice President on work week scheduling. Normal campus operations are expected on May 26, 2020.

Pass/No Pass Grading Option (COVID-19 Spring 2020 Only)

In response to the unusual and challenging circumstances that instructors and students are facing due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Jones College has approved a Pass/No Pass grading option for current students. This option will be available beginning, Wednesday, May 13, 2020, at 8:00 a.m. For more information, please visit Pass/No Pass.

Mobile Campus Clinic

The Jones College Campus Clinic will offer mobile services to our campus community (students and employees) beginning Monday, March 23, 2020, until further notice. The Mobile Clinic will operate Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. To schedule an appointment with Mobile Clinic, send an email to


  • Enrollment will remain open for the Fall 2020 and Summer 2020 semesters. Please contact your Admissions Counselor r for a virtual or phone appointment. To find your admissions counselor visit Enrollment Services
  • Fall 2020 housing notifications will be issued by the Housing Office by June 1, 2020.
  • Summer Classes begin Tuesday, May 26, 2020.

2020 Summer Classes Update

  • If you have enrolled in an online class for the summer, it will remain fully online.
  • If you enrolled in a face-to-face class on the main campus or at a county center, (including night classes), they will be transitioning to a hybrid format where you will attend your class and doing your work in the class and online. Your instructor will provide more details about how that will work for your particular class. The in-person instruction will occur during the listed time period of the class, but students will report to campus in small groups with your instructor. Your instructor will communicate the specific schedule to you.
  • Detailed health and safety protocols will be in place throughout the summer to ensure social distancing and proper disinfection.
  • High risk individuals will need to notify their instructor to make arrangements to complete coursework fully online or should consider fully online class options for the summer.

Jones College Sponsored Travel
Jones College continues to monitor the spread of the COVID-19 Novel Corona Virus 2019. Based on a report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the United States and many other countries are affected.

The CDC issued, March 9, 2020, its recommendations to Institutions of Higher Education ( with students who are participating in international travel or study abroad programs.
