College Operations

Jones College will resume academic face-to-face classes on campus in a hybrid format on Tuesday, September 8, 2020. The hybrid format will allow students to meet in small groups that rotate based on an instructor assigned meeting pattern. Students enrolled in fall 2020 classes should check their Canvas course shell for face-to-face small group meeting assignments. For a list of assigned meeting patterns visit the link below.


Career and Technical Educational (CTE) programs and Professional Health Programs will continue to meet in a small-group format.

The college has a Return to Campus Plan in place to ensure safe practices for our students and employees during this unprecedented pandemic. To view the Return to Campus Plan click below.

The college will continue to monitor developments regarding COVID-19, continue to receive input from health officials, and regularly communicate any updates to its students, employees, and community.

Fall 2020 Daily Health Screening Locations


All Jones students and employees are required to complete a temperature screening and self-reported health questionnaire daily, at various Health Stations located throughout campus. Those locations include the following:

Face Coverings

All Jones students, employees, and visitors are required to wear face coverings while inside campus buildings. Required face coverings include any of the following:

  • N95 masks
  • Surgical masks
  • Cloth masks

Health Screening App for Employees and Students

All faculty, staff, and students are required to complete a daily health screening each work/school day prior to arriving on campus. The health screening is located in Power Apps.



CHECK IN BEFORE YOU ATTEND

Before arriving on campus, download Power Apps in the App Store.

  • Here you will log in with Your MyJones Credentials
  • Within Microsoft PowerApps, you will need to fill out the Daily Health Screening
  • After you answer the 5 short daily health questions, you will see one of two screens:
    1. GREEN: "Welcome to campus! Please proceed to the Health Station”
    2. RED: "Stay home and feel better soon! If you are already on campus, please return to your vehicle and call JC Health Services at 477-4104, or your primary care provider. Instructions will be provided.”
  • Once you have completed the health screening, visit one of the Health Stations on campus to present your green screen and get your temperature checked. You will receive a color-coded wristband for the day.

Mobile Campus Clinic

The Jones College Mobile Clinic operates Monday –Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. To schedule an appointment with Mobile Clinic, send an email to CampusClinic@jcjc.edu.

Reporting COVID-19

Please report to our campus clinic immediately if you have tested positive for COVID-19 or had direct exposure to a positive COVID-19 case. The campus clinic can be reached via email at campusclinic@jcjc.edu or by phone at 601-477-4104.

Travel

Jones College Sponsored Travel
Jones College continues to monitor the spread of the COVID-19 Novel Corona Virus 2019. Based on a report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the United States and many other countries are affected.

The CDC issued, March 9, 2020, its recommendations to Institutions of Higher Education (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/community/student-foreign-travel.html) with students who are participating in international travel or study abroad programs.
