Welcome to Jones County Junior College Forestry Technology Program
Where Technology Meets Tradition
Jones County Junior College can help you prepare for a future in forestry. An education at Jones can be step #1 to an exciting career in business and industrial, government, or recreational organizations.
The two-year forestry technology program combines forestry and academic courses to prepare students with the skills necessary to compete in a demanding job market while responding to the future changes in the field of forestry.
Forestry students learn by DOING. This means that you will not spend two years just sitting in a classroom at JCJC. Lab and field trips, which are important parts of the forestry curriculum, expose students to current practices and research in the forestry industry.
Graduates are offered career opportunities by forest product companies, pulp and paper industries, various state and federal government agencies, and forestry consultant firms.
